This initiative was recommended for inclusion on the ‘Good Practice Index’ (GPI) as a blue graded tactic. The GPI helps Police Districts respond to crime problems by providing access to tactics with evidence on their effectiveness, to reduced crime and/or fear of crime in the community. This in turn ensures Police provide the right service, at the right time, to the right people. It also provides a place to share knowledge of responses, ideas and initiatives that have been successful in Districts, which could be used in other areas or nationally, particularly when the whole community works together.
